Hollywood Foreign Press Association has been a supporter of PSE School of Media since 2015 with $27,000 worth of grants.
Their donations have enabled the acquisition of audio, photo and video equipment for the School of Media.
It has also provided funding for student directed short movies. The third year project is part of the curriculum and involved 25 students working in Sihanoukville 250 km away from PSE center.
Created a few years ago, the school trains about 50 students per year.
It was started to meet the needs for trained video or audio technicians needed by foreign movie studios. A few alumni of PSE were hired to work on Angelina Jolie’s film “First They Killed my Father.”
